Black scaffold pipes and long loops of cream fabric: a temporary installation we designed, modelled, detailed and built, lit for the night.

The Spot is a temporary installation of black scaffold pipes and hanging cream fabric. Bays of fabric loop between scaffold towers, making rooms that are open to the sky by day and glow like lanterns at night.

We took it from model to site: renders of the scale model, a plan on a simple grid, a joinery detail for the scaffold couplers and the pipes that hold the fabric, and then the build itself, lit for the evening.
